An opportunity within the Chefs Training & Innovation Academy exists for a Temporary Part-Time Receptionist.
Join our energetic and dedicated team at a leadering Training and Education provider. We're looking for a professional and friendly Receptionist to assist with our front desk operations.
This is a fixed term contract from October to November 2024, with part-time working hours from 8:00 to 14:00, Monday to Friday.
The Receptionist’s primary purpose is to serve as the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff, providing a welcoming and professional environment.
They are responsible for managing front desk operations, handling inquiries, and offering administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of daily activities.
In this educational/training environment, the Receptionist plays a key role in facilitating communication, organizing events, and ensuring that all external stakeholders have a positive experience when interacting with CTIA.
The ideal candidate must be physically fit and able to assist with event organization, which may involve setting up venues and moving equipment. They will also be required to receive and distribute stock or parcels as part of daily operations.
Candidate Requirements
Skills:
- Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook ect).
- Planning, administration and organising skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and stay on top of schedules and administrative duties.
- Customer service orientation with a natural ability to engage with people and offer a helpful, friendly service.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Education:
- A NQF 4 or related qualification.
- A Diploma or Certificate in office administration or a related field will be beneficial.
Experience:
- 2-3 years previous experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role, preferably within an educational or hospitality environment.
- Familiarity with the unique needs of an educational/hospitality setting, such as student management systems and event coordination.
Other Requirements:
- Clear Criminal and Credit Check.
- Valid South African ID / Passport or Valid Work Permit.
- Valid and up to date driver’s license will be beneficial.
