Support the Commercial Manager and oversee the activities of the commercial personnel. Map key account and monitor competitor activities for the purpose of formulating informed strategies that will increase business chain and give the business an edge over competition. Direct and optimize the business`s most valued consumer relationships.
Candidate Requirements
- Focusing on securing and developing new clients, together with managing relationships with existing clients.
- Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions.
- Identify, assess and implement client's critical needs.
- Enhance relationships with key influencers and develops a stronger understanding of consumer behavior through a deeper analysis of consumer decision-making criteria.
- Identify short and long term growth opportunities.
- Formulate approaches that appeal to key clients to attract and retain them in the business, Present business proposals to prospective client and attending meetings with clients.
- Maintaining tight budget control over expenditure, forecast and track key account metrics.
- Keep up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity.
- Act as point of contact to priority customers and resolve any issues they may have.
- Provide technical customer support as necessary and conduct regular Business Reviews with customers and suppliers.
- Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your customers.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and reviews of key account plans on a regular basis as part of process to avail insights for performance improvement.
- Monitor sales performance in order to increase the levels of engagement with these key clients, hence, ensuring the occurrence of repeat business.
- Increase the revenue from existing key accounts by cross-selling new products.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships and develop trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
- Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Forecast and track key account metrics.
- Identify and grow opportunities within territory and collaborate with internal teams to ensure growth attainment.
- Engage in a variety of tasks, which goes beyond sales to draft and manage the relationship between a business entity and its customers.
- Advise customers regarding product options, provide support to a partner's product requirements, maintain knowledge of new and existing products, as well as report competitor activities and systems.
- Ensure customer satisfaction, identify opportunities to up-sell, organize and lead periodical account reviews, effectively communicate with all departments to resolve customer issues, maintain a database of current and potential clients.
- Provide substantial information relating to sales plans and reports.
Financial
- Participate in compiling monthly sales projections
- Determine the budgetary allocation for the department in order to ensure optimal performance of the department
- Prepare and submit monthly reports of client activities, update on clients contacted each month and report on feedback from clients. Adhere to Air Chefs prescribed financial procedures.
Quality Assurance.
- Adhere to all aspects of Security, SHEQ, HACCP and operational policies and procedures.
- Take reasonable care for own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by what he/she does or fails to do.
- Do not interfere with or misuse anything provided for SHEQ purposes. Report Health & Safety hazards to your line manager.
Stakeholder engagement.
- Interact with internal service providers and clients by co-ordinating the implementation of projects and service level agreements.
- Conduct work in a customer orientated manner, both internal stakeholder (Commercial team) and external stakeholders (potential clients)
- Engage with the relevant departments to gather necessary information pertaining to the business, utilize this information in a manner which projects the business in positive manner.
Education Level: (minimum)
- Degree in Business Management, or Sales & Marketing or any business related qualification.
Training and Experience:
- Minimum 4 years’ prior experience in similar role within FMCG, Retail, Food Service Sector or Customer Facing Sales
- HACCP training will be an advantage.
- Computer literate
- Must have own car
