Purpose of the job
As a result of new market growth opportunities in the security sector and the successful development of a compelling product portfolio, Softwerx is now looking to expand its team of BDR’s to help in the generation of new business opportunities across the business.
A Business Development Representative (BDR) generates new sales opportunities and adds qualified leads to the sales funnel. This kind of outbound sales representative is responsible for prospecting, following up, and passing on qualified leads to other sales agents who will convert them into new customers.
All basic product and service training provided.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Play an important role in the execution of marketing campaigns to generate and progress new business opportunities.
- Make B2B telephone calls to targeted prospects to introduce, progress and nurture new business opportunities.
- Use other channels and tools such as Email, LinkedIn, CRM and social media.
Candidate Requirements
Key Attributes:
Excellent communication skills, ability to build rapport with prospects
Ability to use CRM systems and be familiar with Microsoft Teams.
To be computer literate - to be able to work microsoft excel, word, outlook, and have had experience with CRM systems.
Have had previous experience working in sales/as a BDR.
To be familiar with the nurture process for booking appointments.

- Monitor own work levels, progress and development
- Undertake all core training and development programmes as required
- Undertake relevant learning according to agreed Personal Development Plan
