As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Legal Account Manager to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Legal Account Manager will play a critical role in managing and nurturing client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in account management, with a proven track record in maintaining and expanding client relationships. Prior experience in the legal sector or a related industry is mandatory.
Your role responsibilities will include, inter alia the following:
Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong, long-lasting relationships. Engaging with clients to record the client’s business and system needs and to design client solutions,
Client Training: Training of users within new or existing clients.
Account Management: Oversee and manage client accounts, ensuring all client expectations are met or exceeded. Identify opportunities for account growth and new business development.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the legal team to develop and implement account strategies that align with both client goals and company objectives.
Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any client issues or concerns promptly, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports and updates to clients on the status of their projects. Analyse client data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaising with the Client, Legal Delivery Manager and any other applicable internal stakeholders to ensure that full, proper and timeous instructions are provided in relation to all client requests
*This is a remote position; however, if you are not based in Gauteng, occasional travel to Johannesburg might be required.
Required Skills
- Admitted Attorney: 2 to 3 years
- Client Relationship Management Experience: 3 to 4 years
- Legal Technology: 1 to 2 years
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for the position, you’ll need the following:
- Admitted Attorney
- At least 4 years post-articles experience in the legal sector or a related industry
- At least 3 years’ experience in client relationship management, account management, or a similar role, preferably within the legal industry
- Excellent client relations and management skills
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- A methodical approach to tasks with real attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills that will allow you to adopt a logical, step-by-step process to working with software systems and building solutions
- The skillset to engage in detailed, in-depth analysis of legal contracts and client processes to design step-by-step workflows that automate legal drafting, compliance and business intelligence
