Our client has an amazing opportunity for a Professional Construction Manager based in Johannesburg, Gauteng

Industry: Water Infrastructure and Construction

Level: Senior

Key Requirements:

•           Degree or BTech in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

•           Registered with ECSA as a Professional and/or SACPCMP (PrCPM advantageous)

•           10+ years of experience as a Construction Manager or Resident Engineer, particularly in water abstraction and pipeline construction.

•           Strong technical background in water infrastructure construction engineering.

•           Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary infrastructure construction projects, including mass concrete works, river diversions, balancing dams, and pump stations.

•           Effective project management skills with the ability to oversee project phases from start to closeout, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time.

•           Experience with contract management, project budgeting, and FIDIC-based construction projects.

•           Proficiency in MS Office and ability to handle project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and quality data packs.

•           Excellent leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to guide and support construction supervision teams.

•           Strong problem-solving skills and ability to effectively manage project risks and issues.

•           Exceptional communication skills, with experience in collaborating with clients, design engineers, project managers, contractors, and subcontractors.

•           Ability to work independently and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

•           Committed to ensuring regulatory compliance, safety, reliability, and sustainability standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
