Job Description:
Our client is seeking a qualified Junior Sales Representative to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling and marketing the company's products, driving sales growth, and building strong relationships with clients. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, maintaining existing customer accounts, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication and negotiation skills, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to work independently to promote the company’s products effectively.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
SHOWROOM
- Drive sales and achieve set targets.
- Call on customers to ensure full customer satisfaction.
- Ensure all quotes are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
- Assist in serving customers in the showroom and at trade shows, adhering to company policies such as minimum orders.
- Serve customers politely, professionally, and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of breakages and damaged stock.
STOCK
- Write credit requests and seek assistance from the admin clerk when necessary.
- Ensure all stock movements in or out of the premises are properly recorded, with documentation forwarded to the admin department.
OTHER TASKS
- Keep showroom photographs organized and update catalogues as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of trade shows, including working overtime when required.
- Ensure stock is ordered, and numbered on time, and any special pricing is applied for trade shows.
GENERAL CONDUCT
- Adhere to company rules at all times.
- Treat customers and third parties politely and respectfully.
- Interact with staff courteously and respond to reasonable requests for assistance.
- Comply with management and staff requests for tasks outside the job description when feasible.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a drive to achieve and exceed targets.
- Basic experience in sales or customer service, preferably in a retail or B2B environment
- Familiarity with the sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing deals
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a junior role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
