West Point Processors, based in St Helena Bay on the West Coast requires the services of an experienced IT Technician. The incumbent will supply IT support to users within the Sea Harvest Group of Companies. The selected candidate will be based in St. Helena Bay and will report directly to the IT Infrastructure Manager at the Sea Harvest Group's Head Office located in Woodstock, Cape Town.
KEY JOB OUTPUTS:
· Set up and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, printers and other IT equipment
· Maintain and upgrade IT systems for optimal performance
· Provide technical support for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
· Deliver desktop, remote and phone support following ITIL processes
· Collaborate with IT teams to resolve complex issues and implement solutions
· Monitor and maintain network infrastructure for reliable connectivity
· Conduct backups and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery
· Log, action and resolve support tickets in the helpdesk system
· Prepare hardware/software quotations and manage stock orders
· Oversee asset management and maintain infrastructure like CCTV
· Stay updated on IT advancements and propose system enhancements
· Train end-users on IT tools and applications
· Adhere to IT policies, procedures and security protocols
· Create and maintain a knowledge base for supported sites
· Provide after-hours support as needed

WORK EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of 2 + years’ experience in IT End User Support.
· Proficient in MS Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10 and 11) and MS Office (Office 2016, O365) as well as Google Workspace.
· Familiar with third-party applications including NAV, Chrome, TeamViewer, and MS Teams.
· Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting (Routing, Switching, Wireless, VLANs, Subnetting).
· Skilled in maintaining and troubleshooting multi-functional printers (Xerox, Canon, Konica-Minolta, Lexmark).
· Basic knowledge of VoIP systems and troubleshooting (Yealink, Polycom).
· Experience with ITSM solutions like Fresh Service.
· Managed and maintained cameras/CCTV and time and attendance devices.
· Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
· Experienced in fast-paced IT environments.
