Roles & Responsibilities
The Warehouse Manager is a dual role whereby the incumbent will directly supervise one of the warehouses as well as oversee a second warehouse and Supervisor.
Description of key performance areas:
Supervision of Resources
Manage and motivate staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure safety is prioritised across all areas.
Transport
Monitor and manage warehouse transport risks.
Oversee that the vehicles are adequately maintained, are roadworthy and have appropriate signage displayed.
Warehouse Management
Overall responsibility for the management of the warehouses, raw material stock and finished product stock on both sites.
Manage regular stock cycle counts, and quarterly audited stock takes at both warehouses.
Ensure that there is standardization of systems and procedures across the sites in relation to stock and warehouse management and processes.
Oversees stock returns and ensures that the POD and COD invoice processes are being followed.
ISO procedures and loss control
Ensure adherence to ISO9000 and 14001 policies and procedures.
Administration
Assessing costs to ensure that they are controlled, variances highlighted, and over-expenditure planned.
Maintain monthly forecasting of warehouse costs and transport usage.
Reporting
Transport Team
Participate in the cross-functional transport committee.

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications:Degree in supply chain, logistics or related field
Experience:
10 years’ experience in logistics / supply chain field
