Job Description
This role involves keeping abreast of all claims in progress for our US and Canadian clients. The role will involve understanding the nature of the services we provide and the various different claim mechanisms available to different claimants. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure the employee has an in-depth understanding of the product.
Main duties include:
Requesting documentation from various intermediaries throughout the claims process. The parties involved include: clients, tax authorities worldwide, various banks, processing agents and our processing team
Interacting with clients and custodian banks to request documentation, arrange collection, and prepare reconciliation of documents received
Analyzing documentation to ensure they meet the specific requirements of multiple foreign tax jurisdictions
Liaising with intermediaries to follow up on document requests
Building meaningful relationships with all working parties involved
Preparing reports and ad hoc analyses for clients
Required Skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented with proven problem solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word and keen analytical skills
Proactive, creative, and highly motivated approach to achieving results
Background and Education
Completed or working towards a University degree, preferably Accounting, Economics, or Commerce
A keen interest in the financial services industry and capital markets
