The NTT VW Mthatha dealership is currently recruiting for a positive, business-minded, and energetic person who is interested in joining the NTT Motor Group family as a Parts department Manager.
The successful candidate will be, amongst others, responsible for the following:
- Leading and managing the spare parts sales team as a Parts Sales Manager.
- Overseeing the sales operations of automotive spare parts, managing and developing a team of sales executives, and implementing strategies to achieve sales targets and departmental growth.
- All ordering of Parts, including the returning of Parts to the respective OEM, when required, ensuring compliance with the applicable rules thereof.
- Maintaining a profile of Parts inventory in line with the rules and policies of the NTT Motor Group, including the maintaining of a Parts store room that complies with the standards of the NTT Group.
- Building and maintaining healthy business relationships with all customers, specifically including the relationships with the various motor body repairers.
- Collection of all debtors and outstanding accounts as per the policies and rules of the NTT Motor Group.
- Ensuring and overseeing the integrity of the department’s administration and management information.
- Building and maintaining a trusted business relationship with the dealerships’ Dealer Principal, Financial Manager, other departmental managers, and other staff;
- Liaising with and maintaining a trusted business relationship with the OEM and its respective regional and national Aftersales manager(s).
Candidate Requirements
Notable skills and characteristics required for the position:
- A proven track record in spare parts sales management will be advantageous,
- A strong understanding of inventory management,
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude
- Computer literate, strong IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Willingness and ability to take on additional tasks and responsibilities as and when required
- Commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement
