Requirements:
- B-Tech or similar NQF 7 qualification in supply chain/operations/logistics
- At least 10 years’ experience working experience in Operations and Logistics / Supply Chain
- High energy and ambitious person
- Excellent clear and accurate communication skills
- Ability to give clear instructions and set priorities
- An organized individual with good problem-solving skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate the team
- An aptitude for technical work
- Fully bilingual (African languages will be an advantage)
- In-bound Supply Chain:
- Receiving, offloading, quality control and correct storage of incoming stock, stock control and general management of warehouse and housekeeping.
- Administration and data capturing of documentation related to receiving and storage.
- Out-bound Supply Chain:
- Responsible for national logistics – distribution of stock and delivery of stock to customer site ready for installations
- On time and in full KPI is critical for maximum efficiency. Accountable to ensure transport costs remain within budget
- Leadership Role:
- Ability to organize and motivate a team of about 10-15 FTE's
- Ability to give clear instruction. Excellent communication capability at all levels of the organization
- Day to day leadership and decision making to ensure efficient execution of picking, prepping, loading and documentation capturing within operations.
- Day-to-day leadership and decision making to ensure efficient logistics and on time and full delivery of units to customer site in accordance with Key Account Manager priorities.
- Provide guidance to operations staff regarding policies, operational procedures and servicing of clients.
- Implement changes as needed to drive higher operational efficiency, quality control and housekeeping.
- Recommend changes in job profiles, entry requirements and other relevant aspects to ensure the retention of organizational experience.
- Responsible for recruitment, training, development, coaching, performance assessment and career development of staff.
- Responsible for disciplinary and grievance processing.
- Control staff attendance, overtime worked and leave applications for all staff.
- Manage SLA’s with service providers.
