Job Title: Junior Chef - Stellenbosch
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Junior Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, with experience in cooking for large groups of people. The Junior Chef will work closely with our head chef to assist in meal preparation, cooking, and presentation. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in meal preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Follow recipes and guidelines for portion control and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service to all guests
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Culinary training or certification preferred
- Ability to cook for a large group of people
- Strong understanding of dietary restrictions and accommodations
- Hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for food

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum requirements- Grade 12
- Certificate/ Diploma
English and Afrikaans speaking (Required ) - Must Reside in the Stellenbosch area
