Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to define, develop and implement an integrated, fit-for-purpose/future digital strategy that serves as a clear link/ intentionally connects the overall corporate strategy to the actual SAICA digital experience.
Key Outputs
Digital Strategic objective
- Develop and oversee the implementation of data and insights-led, future-fit/ forward-thinking and fit-for-purpose, end-to-end digital strategy for SAICA, in support of the overall SAICA Strategy
- Work with relevant stakeholders to translate this strategy into insights-led operational plans across SAICA’s various digital platforms
- Establish SAICA as a digitally relevant organisation, by efficiently and effectively utilising data/ insights plus SAICA’s various multimedia tools and tricks
- Establish SAICA’s digital ecosystem as an important driver of reach and engagement across SAICA’s various stakeholder groups including internal, members and associates, etc.
- Contribute to and champion the development and delivery of an end-to-end SAICA CeX strategy
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders -including the Commercial team – to identify opportunities for commercial growth from SAICA’s digital ecosystem
End-to-end Digital Strategy Development, Implementation & Monitoring
- Conduct relevant research and analysis to develop and implement SAICA’s digital strategy, well-orchestrated and integrated across owned, earned, and paid platforms, etc., proactively connecting the dots, to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Conduct ongoing research and analysis to monitor and continuously optimise the strategy to ensure that it remains relevant and on-the-pulse
- Conduct regular, fit-for-purpose and meaningful data-led reporting, underpinned by the strategy and plans
- Define and continuously optimise robust policies, frameworks, and processes, to enable the efficient and effective delivery of the digital strategy and plans
Multimedia Management
- Define a clear approach and plan that integrates the digital strategy with SAICA’s available multimedia touchpoints, as well as propose opportunities for enhancement
- Cascade the plan to the relevant team members and monitor implementation and where necessary implement corrective measures
Commercial & Financial Management
- Commercial:
- Collaborate with the Commercial Delivery & Business Development Team and other relevant stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, and develop plans to actualise these opportunities across the relevant SAICA platforms
- Work with the Finance Division to put in place processes, systems, and controls to provide oversight of income received from digital commercialisation
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage a robust, fit-for-purpose annual budget for the Digital & Multimedia Functional Area, ensuring;
- Deliberate efficiencies
- NIL overspend
- Timeous processing and payments of invoices
- Accurate reporting
- Ensure that suppliers meet SAICA requirements from a quality, cost, and BEE perspective
Data-led & Insightful reporting
- Work with various stakeholders and contributors to develop robust, relevant, and integrated regular and insightful reporting (quantitative and qualitative) that identifies actionable opportunities and pre-empts gaps/issues/challenges
- It is critical that this reporting is holistic, i.e. connecting the dots between all the relevant touchpoints
Centre of Excellence
- Establish a centre of digital and multimedia excellence by ensuring;
o The end-to-end digital strategy is aligned to the overall SAICA Corporate Strategy (including the Brand & Marketing Strategy)
o The strategy is efficiently and effectively cascaded and communicated to relevant stakeholders
o Streamlined plans are developed, implemented, and regularly monitored to ensure efficient and effective delivery of the strategy
o Enabling processes and ways of working are put in place and regularly monitored to ensure the way
o Fit-for-purpose tools and systems are in place to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of the strategy and operational plans
- Establish the Digital and Multimedia functional area as the experts/ centre of digital excellence within SAICA
- Ensure that you and your team treat SAICA stakeholders including internal, members, associates, trainees in a helpful and professional manner
- Ensure that you and your team are always service and solutions- orientated in dealing with colleagues, members, associates, suppliers, and customers, etc.
- Ensure that you and your team have sufficient knowledge of other the departments, to correctly refer queries to the relevant department/employee
- Ensure that you and your team maintain excellent, meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders and contributors, e.g. content creators, etc.
Leadership
- Develop, manage, support, and lead the Digital and Multimedia team effectively to deliver against the strategy and operational plans, as well as their individual plans by ensuring;
o Authentic and relevant skills development that enables the team to remain agile, up-to-date, and comparative (market)
o Meaningful and authentic talent management & succession planning
- Drive a positive culture of collaboration and integration within the Digital & Multimedia Team, the Brand & Marketing Division as well as SAICA-wide
- Proactively and effective manage performance – own and teams
- Drive a culture of genuine/ authentic diversity and inclusion within the Digital & Multimedia Team, the Brand & Marketing Division as well as SAICA-wide
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
- A recognised, undergraduate Digital Marketing Degree
- A recognised, undergraduate Data Analytics Degree
- A recognised IMM (Institute of Marketing Management) Bachelors or Honours Degree, with Digital Marketing specialisation
- A recognised Bachelors or Honours Degree with Digital Marketing specialisation
- A Postgraduate Business Qualification would be advantageous
Experience
- Extensive Digital and proven experience and comfort with data analytics, as well as strategic thinking and operationalization.
- Minimum of 5 years Digital experience, with at least 2 at a Middle or Senior Management level, with proven understanding of digital and data trends, tools, systems, platforms, etc.

- Minimum of 3 years experience in people management
