- Your primary function is to manage the branch stores and related functions ensuring efficient operation at all times.
- You are responsible for the branch stock and ensuring there is sufficient stock holding to meet seasonal demands, this with the use of the Netstock stock management software.
- Generate the necessary Netstock stock reports to evaluate stock holding, this includes Excess Stock, Surplus orders, Fill rates, Stocked out & Potential stock outs.
- Arrange for any excess stock to be returned to the warehouse when required.
- Ensure that all receiving and dispatching of stock for the branch is accurately done.
- Ensure all stock is picked, packed and distributed correctly and timeously via the driver or couriers.
- Ensure that all required paperwork is completed accurately, including GRV, RTS, IBT, POD, courier waybills and this filed for reference purposes.
- Responsible with the Branch Manager for all stock takes and related administration.
- Responsible with the Branch Manager for stock variances in the branch and investigating the reasons. And putting measures in place to avoid this reoccurring.
- Any stock losses as a result of suspected theft or fraud to be reported to the Branch Manager and Group Risk Manager.
- Carry out required weekly spot checks ensuring quantities are accurate at all times versus the system, and discrepancies reported to the Branch Manager.
- Ensure all high value items are verified, controlled and stored in the high value cage with restricted access. The required control sheets for this to be managed.
- Ensure that the Stores Assistant/s are properly trained and that they execute their duties as per their JD.
- Manage the driver and branch deliveries ensuring the logbook and any related documentation is checked, signed and returned after each trip. (where required)
- Manage the delivery van and ensure required maintenance and servicing is carried out. Any issues like speed fines, accidents etc relating to the delivery van to be reported to the Fleet Manager. (where required)
Required Skills
- Stock Management: 2 to 3 years
- Managerial Experience: 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
- 2 years or more relevant work experience
- Managerial experience essential
- Stock management experience essential
- Reliable transport
- Work branch trading hours including alternate Saturdays from 8:00 to 12:00 and selected Public Holidays
- Good knowledge and understanding of Regal product codes, processes and products
