Salary: R488 104.65 - R657 200.08 TCTC PER ANNUM.
Provide all EHC users with onsite IT support including desktop support, software upgrades, disaster management, program support and backups. It is responsible for ensuring the network is always operational, maintained and optimized, and liaising with the external providers. Provide input into the IT strategy relating to the efficient and effective maintenance and enhancement of the EHC IT infrastructure. Research and propose changes to IT Infrastructure to ensure maximum utilization of IT resources. Provide input for infrastructure requirements and changes to policies for higher approval.
Responsibilities:
- Provides general IT support and informal ad-hoc training to all users.
- Updates and enhances IT applications with new software and PC’s.
- Provides technical support to telephone and email requests from users for all PC hardware, software, network, server and associated peripherals.
- Logs support calls and document their outcome to facilitate the resolution of common queries.
- Escalates queries to the outsourced provider as appropriate and manage to resolution.
- Pro-actively provides information to users on the progress of outstanding support calls.
- Installs and configures operating systems.
- Installs and configures software.
- Maintains existing PCs and peripherals to standards determined by the manager, by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying outline procedures.
- Ensures the cost-effective repair of equipment including PCs, Printers etc.
- Takes responsibility for the server room and server stability, ensuring that all infrastructures are maintained and operational.
- Installs, supports and training for various general and specialized software packages.
- Issues PCs and associated peripherals including new installations and the redeployment of existing equipment.
- Assists Finance in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of hardware and software.
- Provides input into the EHC IT strategy and policy.
- Develop, implement, and maintain ICT risk register.
- Ensure compliance of all ICT services with legal framework.
- Oversee development & maintenance of policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulations & internal and external standards.

Candidate Requirements
Minimum Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (NQF 7) or Equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience in Desktop Support on Windows 10/11.
- Proficient to provide remote support and as well as in the office.
- 5 years’ experience in designing and implementing IT solutions.
- 5 years’ experience in developing and executing backup and disaster recovery policies on both cloud and on premises.
