Warehousing
Overall management of all finished goods stock
Scheduling and co-ordinating quarterly stocktakes, as well update of ERP system with stock take results
Optimal stock holding of finished goods in line with minimum and maximum reorder levels
Monitor and manage minimum and maximum reorder levels for all sales locations on a regular basis
Co-ordinate ERP transfers of off-site related stock movements including but not limited to inventory journals for stock adjustments
Communicate delivery of incoming product to the DC warehouse supervisor
Co-ordinate and authorize the weekly replenishment orders for all branches
Monthly reconcile the Import Returns in Transit warehouse
Dispatch Department
Liaise with sales co-ordinator regarding the delivery schedule for the driver
Organise and co-ordinate the return of faulty product to overseas suppliers with Quality Manager
Personnel
Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs;
Determine training needs of dispatch and warehouse personnel
Co-ordinating of all dispatch and warehouse staff leave
Supervise dispatch personnel, driver and warehouse personnel (in conjunction with Warehouse Supervisor);
Provide mentorship to Warehouse Supervisor
Building a world class warehouse and dispatch team
Procurement
Assist with sourcing and approval of new local suppliers
Monitor cost effectiveness of freight forward companies, both local and international
Monitor and manage actual landed cost of all imports to be in line with approved calculated landed cost
Co-ordinates the placement of orders with relevant suppliers (including manufacturing raw material requirements)
Monitor and manage supplier credit limits in balance with stock orders in conjunction with Financial Director
Expedite orders as needed
Co-ordinating incoming shipments with approved freight forward companies
Receive delivery confirmations.
Provide weekly updates of expected deliveries to sales organisation
Submit invoices and supporting documents to Finance Department for payments.
General
Handling all relevant ERP transactions on a daily basis
Generation of weekly and monthly reports to Management.
Identify & budget for additional resources required
Ensure all company policies and relevant warehouse/dispatch procedures are followed.
Maintaining health and safety standards
Assist with tasks, related to the company operations that might fall outside the above mentioned responsibilities.
Stand in for Warehouse Supervisor when required
Monitor and continuous improvement of workflow in Logistics department, as well as interaction with other relevant departments
Assist Financial Manager during financial audits
3 year degree in supply chain management (or similar)
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Courses in Good Warehouse Practice, stores and inventory management
Minimum of 5 years’ in warehouse management and inventory control.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Import/Export sales environment including close interaction with freight forwarders
Exceptional communication skills
Exceptional managerial skills
