Assist360 is the medical and travel Assistance Company that provides peace of mind for those working in fragile and conflict areas. Our Global Response Centre, based in Cape Town, South Africa works closely with our local in-country teams to respond to medical emergency situations for Committed To Good (CTG) and other clients.
Overview of Position:
During the 6-month internship the candidate will work with a variety of departments within the organization – Client Services, Network Management, Medical Desk and Operations.
Role Objectives:
Operations:
- Assist in Emergency Operations: Support the coordination of emergency response activities, including monitoring emergency situations, communicating as first responders, and updating response plans. Liaising via phone and email with clients and providers. Corresponding with medical desk for medical reviews, medical claims and medical guidance on cases.
- Data Management: Collect, analyse, and maintain emergency response data. Ensure accurate documentation of incidents and activities.
- Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining emergency contact lists. This also includes the processing of claims and raising of PO’s.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager
Client Services:
- Research potential clients for medical assistance services
- Assist in communicating with clients via email and phone
- Respond to client inquiries, gather relevant information, and provide updates
- Follow up on action items resulting from client meetings
Network Management:
- Research potential clients worldwide
- Contact, attend meetings and contract networks providers / facilities worldwide
- Liaise via email and telephone with potential providers and existing providers
- Update network database continuously
- Create and maintain network maps and data

- Global Operations Manager
