A well-established company based in Centurion has a vacancy available for a Group Management Accountant with Consolidation and Group reporting experience to join their finance team.
The purpose of the role is to drive the financial analysis function specifically focused on Group Balance Sheet, Group Cash Flow, Group Profit & Loss, Group Consolidation, Syft reporting tool, Intercompany transactions, review and monitoring, Cost Accounting Models (Cost per Branch, region, and entity, Cost per Cash Withdrawal), and what if analysis.
Permanent in-house position with medical aid, provident fund, group life, hybrid working model, annual performance-based bonus, etc.
Responsibilities:
● Ensure the finance team is a strategic partner to the business
● Support collaboration with the finance team to provide internal controls and processes
● Run the financial reporting aspects of the FP&A Portfolio from Xero and SYFT
● Assist the finance leadership team with tracking month-end close
● Perform detailed review of financial records, track completion, and create Jira tickets for items that require correction
● Escalate open items to the head of finance and financial managers as required
● Accountable for reporting on the status of accounts
● Supporting the year-end, interim, and all month-end reporting in terms of the consolidation process and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data
● Ensure applicable policies and processes are created, documented, reviewed, signed off, and adhered to
● Responsible for providing direction and support on the organizational budgeting process applicable to all the entities of the company
● Regularly review the overall organizational expenditure to ensure the expenditure of all entities remains within budget
● Continued analysis and review of current and new systems
● Report on and resolve exceptions caused by system errors
● Assist with and action ad hoc requests or other related duties as assigned by the business ahead of FP&A as requested
● Accountable for completeness of all intercompany transactions are posted and reconciled in local currencies and USD - Do not post them yourself. Review intercompany transactions and escalate inconsistencies & corrections where required
● Build ROI and branch/product profitability reports
● Look for and implement automation opportunities in the financial reporting space
● Assist in internal and external audits if required by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis related to costs, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and regulatory requirements
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
● Relevant Degree
● Consolidation experience
● Group reporting experience
● Experience in accounting software and reporting Tools (Xero, Syft) would be advantageous
● Advanced MS Excel skills
● Numerical skills
High attention to detail (accuracy)
