A new and exciting opportunity exists at a Cosmetics Company in Montague Gardens/Contermansklof, where Compounder/s areurgently.
Key Responsibilities:
The Compounder will be responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients to create cosmetic products in accordance with GMP 22716 guidelines. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to follow detailed instructions and formulas precisely.
· Preparation and Mixing:
· Accurately measure and blend raw materials according to specific formulations and procedures.
· Operate and maintain mixing equipment and machinery.
· Ensure all products are mixed and processed according to standards and company SOPs.
· Quality Control:
· Conduct in-process checks to ensure product quality and consistency.
· Maintain accurate batch records and documentation.
· Assist in the sampling of batches for quality testing.
· Compliance and Safety:
· Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
· Ensure workspace is clean and organized, maintaining a hygienic environment.
· Adhere to GMP 22716 regulations and company policies.
· Inventory Management:
· Monitor and report on inventory levels of raw materials and supplies.
· Collaboration:
· Work closely with Quality Assurance and R&D teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
· Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and any issues that arise.
· Must be flexible, own transport is essential and Adhoc duties may be required from time to time.
Candidate Requirements
- Definitely a good memory because in my job you need to remember where you are up to in the batch and remember when you are heating/cooling otherwise you might ruin the product.
- Good attention to detail will contribute to your success over time working as a compounder you learn to notice small things in products that point to if there is an issue with the batch or not. Such things could include small lumps in creams or streaking.
- Time Management is huge when making batches if you poorly manage your time you will find yourself at the end of the day with too much left to do.
