- Capturing of customer and supplier invoices
- Loading of bank payments
- Prepare and process journals entries to trial balance level
- Complete general ledger operations
- Monthly supplier and customer closings and reconciliations
- Prepare analysis of accounts as requested by various departments within the business
- Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Accountable for accounts/ bank reconciliations
- Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of Fixed asset registers
- Assisting in preparing monthly management accounts and accompanying reports
- Ensuring adequate accounting practices is followed regarding VAT, PAYE, Income Tax and WCA
- Prepare VAT201 returns and complete reconciliations
- Assist with preparation for annual BEE audit
- Assist with preparation for annual financial audits
- Assist with ad hoc tasks
- Accounting qualification, Bookkeeping qualification
- Accounting (SAIPA) articles will be advantageous
- At least 3 years accounting experience
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Xero / Ability to learn new accounting software
- Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Knowledge on inventory management would be advantageous
- Attention to detail and accuracy
