Purpose:
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist will lead the optimization of project management processes, data tracking systems, and reporting mechanisms. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient and impactful delivery of business development interventions for small businesses. The M&E Specialist will collaborate closely with Project Managers and Coordinators to achieve these goals
Process Improvement and Optimisation:
- Conduct in-depth analysis to identify opportunities to streamlining and enhancing project management processes.
- Lead the implementation of these improvements with the project team, ensuring efficient workflows.
- Develop and document standardized processes for ongoing reference and compliance.
Reporting; Data Collection and Analysis:
- Design and generate comprehensive reports on project performance, outcomes, and impact tailored to both internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate effectively with Project Managers and Coordinators to collect, compile and present accurate data for stakeholder and client reporting.
- Oversee the entire data lifecycle, ensuring data integrity, verification, and analysis throughout the project implementation.
- Utilize various tools and methodologies to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Implement a system for regular client and SME surveys to gather feedback and measure project effectiveness
Quality Assurance and Monitoring Framework:
- Establish a robust Quality Assurance (QA) process to ensure adherence to M&E standards and best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews to identify and address any deviations from the QA process.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive M&E framework for the projects office, including the creation of relevant KPIs to measure project success and impact
Project Coordination:
- Provide strategic project coordination support to the project team as needed.
- Offer administrative assistance to ensure project activities run smoothly.
Qualification:
- Tertiary qualification
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years working experience
- Experience in M&E, data collection, interpretation, and reporting in social or related work/field.
Required Skills
- Monitoring And Evaluation: 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of M&E methodologies and best practices.
- Expertise in various data collection methods (surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.).
- Strong foundation in project management principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data analysis software.
- Excellent planning and organising skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Ability to produce clear, concise, and compelling reports
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Effective decision-making skills.
- Discreet handling of sensitive and confidential information
