Job Summary: The Reservations Consultant is responsible for managing bookings and reservations for a prestigious group of 5-star lodges and hotels. This role involves handling inquiries, processing reservations, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure a seamless experience for guests from the point of booking to their arrival.Key Responsibilities:Handle Reservations:Manage and process reservations through phone calls, emails, and online booking systems.Confirm and update reservations in the property management system.Coordinate with lodges and hotels to ensure availability and special requests are met.Customer Service:Provide accurate information regarding room rates, availability, and amenities.Assist guests with any inquiries or concerns regarding their bookings.Offer personalized service to accommodate guests’ specific needs and preferences.Administrative Duties:Maintain accurate records of all reservations and transactions.Prepare and send booking confirmations and other relevant documents to guests.Update and maintain the reservations database and ensure data accuracy.Collaboration:Liaise with other departments such as front desk, housekeeping, and food & beverage to ensure a seamless guest experience.Work closely with the sales and marketing team to manage promotions and special offers.Problem Resolution:Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to reservations.Handle complaints and feedback in a professional and efficient manner.Sales and Upselling:Promote and sell additional services and amenities to enhance the guest experience.Maximize occupancy and revenue through effective sales techniques and upselling.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a reservations or customer service role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a 5-star establishment.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in reservation and property management systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Other Requirements:
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
