Two small retail paint stores in George have a vacancy for a Bookkeeper to perform the Bookkeeping and Financial administration functions. The role requires someone who is operationally savvy and can multitask and perform routine and non-routine transactions to support the businesses. This role is supported by an Accountant but requires an excellent understanding of small business finance processes.
Responsibilities
- Full Bookkeeping function to trail balance on Xero Accounting (ability to operate and incorporate Retail sales system: Odyssey)
- Process functions related to Stock, Banking, Payments, SARS easy file, VAT, Cash flow and Financial Reports. Invoicing and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Customer Service and interactions
- Stock ordering and management
Required Skills
- Bookkeeping: 7 to 8 years
- Accountant: 4 to 5 years
- Financials: 4 to 5 years
Candidate Requirements
Job Role Requirements
- Relevant Bookkeeping qualifications (tertiary) with at least 7 years financial and business bookkeeping experience. Good Communications skills, excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Xero Accounting and Financial Reporting as well as Odyssey POS system.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills and it is essential to be detail oriented and be able to support the operational teams.
