- 6-8 years of hands-on experience as a Finance Manager within the Logistics industry.
- Completed SAICA articles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and trends, providing insights into financial performance.
- Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and recommendations.
- Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads and management.
- Monitor budgetary performance and analyze deviations from the budget.
- Forecast financial outcomes based on historical data and market trends, supporting strategic planning and decision-making.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the management team, aligning financial goals with the company's overall objectives.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions.
- Develop financial models and scenarios to assess potential risks and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including SAICA requirements and other relevant legislation.
- Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and processes.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
- Optimize working capital through effective management of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Monitor banking activities and relationships, ensuring optimal banking terms and services.
- Supervise and mentor finance department staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional development.
- Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Promote continuous improvement in financial processes and systems, leveraging technology where applicable.
- Collaborate with operational teams to understand business dynamics and provide financial insights.
- Support business decision-making through financial analysis, scenario modeling, and strategic advice.
- Communicate financial performance and implications to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
- Lead or participate in special projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Respond to ad hoc requests for financial analysis and information from management and external stakeholders
