Westfalia Fruit Product situated in Politsi - Tzaneen, has a permanentvacancy for a suitably qualified and experiencedOccupational Health and Safety Officer.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the occupational health and safety management system for the WFE.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Grade 12 non-negotiable
- Previous managerial experience preferred
- Previous administrative experience preferred
- Knowledge/experience in conducting of Risk Assessments
- Formal Health and Safety Legal requirements training
- Introduction to SAMTRAC advantageous
- SAMTRAC advantageous
Knowledge:
- Basic Occupational Health and Safety Standards
- Basic Occupational Health and Safety Terminology
- Some knowledge of workplace safety and health issues.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong personality and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse workforce
- Computer literate
- Report writing skills
- Well Organized
Attitude / Behavior:
- Ability to work under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a larger team
