REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, handling accounts payable and creditors' functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Pastel, HFS, and Ship Shape
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent time management and problem solving skills
DUTIES:
- Assisting in all accounting functions
- Assistance with monthly reports (expense etc.)
- Follow up on debtors/creditors queries
- Bank reconciliation and cash book capturing
- Preparation and loading of payments, and requesting the intercompany bank transfers for debtors payments.
- Petty cash management
- Reconciliation of creditors accounts
- Creditors payments recons and preparations
- Capturing creditors invoices on Pastel and ShipShape
- Allocate debtors payments / deposit slips
- Reconcile debtors’ accounts
- Timeous follow up with debtors for payments
- Prepare monthly, weekly, daily debtors statements / mail invoices and supporting docs when required
- Produce weekly and monthly debtors’ reports as required
- Keep management advised on any long overdue or problematic debtors
- Ensure that procedures have been followed
- General support and assistance to Financial Director
- Other ad-hoc admin duties as required
HOURS:
- Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 16:30
