SASA- Curriculum and Compliance Manager
The South African Sugar Association (SASA) has a permanent vacancy for a Curriculum and Compliance Manager, at the Shukela Training Centre, based in Mount Edgecombe.
The Shukela Training Centre (STC) is a well-regarded training institution established about 50 years ago that delivers high quality agricultural and engineering training to learners from the sugar and other industries.
The STC has an employment opportunity for an experienced Curriculum and Compliance Manager with hands on experience in curriculum development, development, and maintenance of a quality management system (QMS) in a training environment and accreditation of qualifications. The Curriculum and Compliance Manager will report to the General Manager of the Shukela Training Centre.
The successful incumbent will provide expert leadership and direction in the delivery of all Agricultural and Engineering Training, as well as trade testing at the Shukela Training Centre. In addition, the incumbent will initiate and manage all curriculum development and training quality management initiatives within STC and ensure that delivery of training conforms to the developed Annual Programme of Work and meets the accreditation requirements of various SETAs and of the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Shape and innovate STC curriculum offerings in response to national policies, and the needs of learners and employers
- Collaborate with a range of employers, community groups and government agencies
- Continued accreditation of STC as a Skills Development Provider and a Trade Test Centre with the QCTO and various other SETAs
- Ensuring STC's teaching and learning is of high quality and that assessment methods and assessment tools used are accurate
- Identification of new business opportunities for the STC and acting on them
- Efficient learner administration and learner management system that STC chooses to use at any given time
- Overall quality management system of the Shukela Training Centre and related administration activities
- Overall management of STC Training Projects and related administration activities
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Honours Degree or higher in Education
- 5 years' experience in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, or similar
- Knowledge of the South African Skills Development Landscape in general and Technical and Vocational Education Training landscape in particular
- Experience in working with SETAs towards the accreditation of qualifications
- Experience in writing funding proposals and managing externally funded training projects
- Valid code EB Driving license
- Computer literacy in MS Office
