Business Development Representative (JB4534)

A manufacturer and distributor that specializes in supplying high-quality cooking oils, that cater to both the hospitality and retail sectors is looking for a business development representative to join their team.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and results-driven individual with a passion for the food industry. They possess a strong understanding of high-quality cooking oils and have a proven track record in sales and business development. The candidate excels in building and maintaining client relationships, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. They are adept at identifying new business opportunities and have a strategic approach to market expansion.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric or relevant degree
Valid driver's license and own vehicle
3+ years experience in FMCG sales
Existing relationships with retail stores/ buyers would be advantageous
Duties:
Use trained sales techniques to present, promote, and sell products to new and prospective customers.
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth.
Implement and monitor all promotional activities to enhance brand visibility.
Obtain orders and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to engage potential customers.
Keep management informed by submitting detailed activity and result reports, including daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly/annual analyses.
Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new offerings, delivery schedules, and merchandising.
Investigate problems, develop solutions, prepare reports, and make recommendations to resolve customer complaints.
Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed. Perform any other relevant tasks assigned by the company related to its business operations.
