LECTURER
Minimum Academic requirements
- Master’s degree and undergraduate study in Public Relations/Communications or related (Marketing)
- At least 3 years teaching experience in Public Relations/Communications or related (Marketing)
- Teaching and record of research publications in accredited journals would be a strong recommendation
- Preference will be given to applicants who are registered for a PhD
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Commercial or industrial related experience
- Demonstrate innovative thinking towards teaching and learning
- Availability to work at other DUT campuses, in the evenings and weekends and sometimes away from home
- Conduct teaching, learning and assessment using a blended mode
- For the Lecturer position it is recommended that a candidate is at an advanced level of completing a PhD
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
- Take responsibility for the teaching, learning and assessing of modules offered, at all levels, and associated with the programmes in the Department
- Make major contributions to the academic quality by providing leadership of all aspects of offerings associated with Public Relations and Communication Science in the Department
- Lead, develop, design and review all learning content associated with Public Relation/Communication Science
Supervise and co-supervise postgraduate students
- Publish in reputable, DHET accredited
- Promote community engagement within the Department
- General administrative duties assigned by the Head of Department

- Market related
