MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and nurture relationships with both new and existing clients, including conducting regular visits.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with current transporters, clients, and truck drivers.
- Actively seek and identify new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other lead generation activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential clients and transporters, understanding their needs and providing suitable solutions.
- Understand the running costs of vehicles to determine Cost Per Kilometre (CPK).
- Analyse commodity trends and adapt strategies to market fluctuations.
- Regularly track and analyse performance against targets and budgets, identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain established administrative procedures to ensure smooth operations.
- ETA Tracking and Communication
- Follow up with transporters to determine the accurate Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) of trucks.
- Communicate effectively with clients to keep them informed about the status of their cargo.
- Provide timely and efficient haulage services to meet delivery deadlines.
- Maintain constant contact with clients and haulers to develop strong relationships and secure business.
- Negotiate tariffs, fees, discounts, and contracts with clients and haulers.
- Compile quotations for both new and established clients to ensure competitive pricing and service.
