Prupose:
To create and maintain business processes that manages OEMs, OSMs throughout the lifecycle within the Sizwe Group. Manage assigned products towards achieving commercial, solution, implementation, and support objectives to ensure increased profits and market penetration. As a strategic member of the Technology Solutions team, support and assist team members with robust product solutions as it pertains to your span of control.
Key Objective
- Build sound vendor relationships to optimize service delivery to Sizwe Group customers.
- Support and assist the Sales teams nationally with solutions crafting, pricing and product expertise focusing on the delivering of Microsoft, OpenTEXT, and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) related products. Develop and implement Channel partner programs, such as Training, Marketing, Rebates, and Incentives.
- Drive effective product roadmap enhancements between OEMs, OSMs and Technology Solutions.
- Stay abreast of the product developments with these OEMs and OSMs and ensure the Technology Solutions team is capacitated with these developments.
Product Management Process:
- Identify OEM and OSM products and solutions based on customer requirements, sales teams’ requests, or business strategic objectives.
- Build and manage OEM, OSM and Distributor relationships.
- Ensure OEM certifications are obtained, managed and tracking the adherence to the minimum requirements which could differ from OEM to OEM, i.e. Skills Levels, OEM Targets, Company Processes, Service Capability, Support Lab.
- Coordinate OEM certification audits and ensure all participating parties are well prepared.
- Identify OEM and OSM key areas of specialization and align to strategic goals.
- Develop core positioning and messaging for products and services.
- Compile and set for tenders to meet revenue forecasts and profitability goals.
- Delivery monthly revenue forecasts to meet OEM and OSM targets.
- Design and compile solutions, sales tools and marketing collateral.
- Co-ordinate product demonstrations to customers.
- Perform product review process as per SOP.
- Obtain pricing timeously from OEMs and OSMs in achieving deadlines to RFPs and RFQs.
- Log bids for special pricing (Deal Registrations) on key products to ensure competitiveness.
- Compare year on year spend, including OEM and Distributor targets.
- Build strong relationships with your key OEMs and OSMs in driving mutual benefits to Sizwe.
- Coach managers and employees on marketing strategy, product lifecycle, new product roadmaps, marketing, sales operations, strategic pricing, and business planning.
- Educate Solutions Team on new product technologies and roadmaps.
- Ensure Rebates are properly managed.
- Ensure Renewals are tracked through the Renewals Manager.
- Ensure OEM Programmes are managed from time to time through the Programme Manager.
General:
- Support sales teams and solution team members.
- Track and ensure that product specific certifications are up to date and safely recorded.
- Assess customer needs and make recommendations where applicable.
- Liaise with product experts and/or solution experts (Technology Solutions) in order to optimize service delivery for customers.
- Act as focal point of contact for OEMs, OSMs and Distributors, emphasis will be on managed partners.
- Ensure adherence to standards with properly approved documentation.
- Make recommendation in relation to service improvement plans.
- Ensure correct exchange rate and supplier prices are calculated timeously.
- Manage risk in consultation with Executive.
- Maintain a professional relationship with customers and service providers.
- Ensure that escalated queries are managed efficiently.
- Liaise with customers to clarify business needs.
- Deal with any customer request directly, if required.
- Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhere to.
- Ensure that all electronic filing is up to date.
- Ensure that product knowledge is up to date and keeping abreast of developments within organization and the industry.
- Update Procurement, Account Managers and Customers on OEM/Distributors product and services delivery dates in conjunction with the Service Delivery division.
- Complete business plans and execution of the MDF programs.
- Attend supplier specific training.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
- Plan and organize customer events and presentations.
- Provide reports and funnel information.
- Understand and implement OEM and OSM strategy and policies.
- Co-ordinate training for sales and technical team when required.
- Any ad hoc function required to perform from Executive from time to time.

Candidate Requirements
Position Specifications:
- Microsoft, OpenTEXT, Boardpac, Canvas, SigniFlow, Signify Software, Zoom, Automation AnyWhere and related SaaS product lines.
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 6 qualification
- IT related degree (or equivalent NQF6) preferred
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 5-8 years relevant work experience in OEM and OSM products and solution-based IT related environment.
- Sound knowledge of allocated products and channel management.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and OpenTEXT and related solutions.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with high proficiency levels in English.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of the corporate identity of the organisation and the governance mechanisms.
- Knowledge of company processes.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst ensuring that high quality is always maintained.
- Able to multi-task and work independently as well as operating as part of a team.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to communicate effectively and clearly at all levels in the organization and with suppliers.
- Able to follow instructions as per work standards.
