Our client is a technology driven company, offering a variety of services, including turnkey solutions for all wastewater treatment related industries. The company is looking to employ an experienced HR Manager with excellent knowledge of the following bargaining councils- civil, construction and metal/steel industries. The company is project based and has around 200 employees currently. It is a hybrid position.
General overview
The candidate must demonstrate a well-rounded knowledge of the principles of HR Management. The candidate must provide sound HR advice aligned with relevant policy, legislation and agreements to management. The candidate must have good experience in payroll systems and be able to do reporting. (Psiber payroll ( reports)
Key Responsibilities:
Coordination of and involvement in all recruitment processes including advertising, shortlisting, screening.
Full Recruitment function.
Coordinating of and involvement in employee onboarding/offboarding.
Ensure all employee administration (including contracts/updated/changes) is issued/signed/filed timeously.
Capturing and updating data and coordinating reporting (terminations/movements/new starters/new information)
Take full responsibility for the employment equity process up to and including reporting stage.
Manage employee relations (disciplinary issues) in conjunction with the line managers, including the drafting of warning letters, setting up/coordinating hearings (and providing guidance/advice), incapacity processes and CCMA appearances.
Assisting in HR Reporting on recruitment/staff movement/employee relations.
Provide accurate advice/feedback on employee relations matters and work-related queries (LRA, BCOEA and Policies).
Coordinate, monitor and ensure efficient responses to labour inspections.
Supporting in the BBBEE certification process. The candidate is responsible for the Skills Development part of the BBBEE program.
The candidate will take responsibility for the employees leave record keeping.
The candidate will take responsibility for the salaries and wages by providing accurate information to the financial team (who does the salaries and wages) and checking and approving the salaries and wages.
Responsible for the Workman’s Compensation cases – to ensure that it is submitted correctly.
Skills Development record keeping and submitting of annual submissions.
Take charge of the performance management of employees.
Ad hoc projects as and when required.
Adherence to labour legislation in all actions/communication.
Assisting in policy/procedure formulation and implementation thereof.
Keep updated on any changes to company rules and relevant legislation.
Monthly reporting.
Required Skills:
Advance skills in the following computer programs (Word; Excel; Outlook; PowerPoint)

National Diploma in HR or Degree in HR from reputable institutions

Must be fluent in Afrikaans
The ideal candidate will have excellent multitasking abilities, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Good computer skills is necessary.
