Job Specification: Retail Assistant
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Retail Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail, a friendly and approachable demeanor, and a strong desire to provide exceptional customer service. This position will involve assisting customers, restocking shelves, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Assist customers with their queries and guide them through the store, providing product knowledge and recommendations as needed.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with a problem-solving mindset and escalate issues when necessary.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, using our point-of-sale system.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring it is fully stocked with necessary supplies.
2. Product Display and Merchandising:
- Restock shelves, display racks, and ensure products are visually appealing.
- Label and price products accurately, ensuring correct pricing and promotional signage.
- Keep track of inventory levels and inform the store manager of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Assist in implementing visual merchandising guidelines to showcase products effectively.
3. Store Operations:
- Participate in regular inventory audits as required, ensuring accurate stock levels.
- Ensure all areas of the store are kept clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including cash register reconciliation, cleaning, and restocking for the next day.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.

- Sales Agent: 1 year or less
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in retail/customer service is preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle difficult customer situations.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with cash handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift and move boxes, and perform other physical tasks as required.
