JOB PRUPOSE

Developing procedures and ensuring implementation of System maintenance as well as carrying out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues Checking electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

§  Electrical Hardware and software design, development, implementation and commissioning

§  Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria

§  Design, implement and maintain preventive as well as predictive maintenance programs.

§  Prepare and administer department budget within established guidelines for maintenance and repair of equipment

§  Responsible for management of project specific deliverables

§  Ensure the control and configuration of site documentation in accordance with the Drawing Manual. Ensuring all site amendments are reviewed and approved by the design team and incorporated

§  Identification of potential hazards and the production of Risk Assessments / Method Statements required to ensure the safe undertaking of electrical and mechanical installation work

§  Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation

§  Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues

§  Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality

§  Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities

§  Allocate workload and supervise upkeep staff (custodians, janitors etc.)

§  Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary

§  Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance

§  Manage relationships with contractors and service providers

§  Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities

§  Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
